Key Staff


Paul Calvert
Paul has over 25 years’ experience in advising family businesses in many differing markets on a variety of tax and commercial issues. He worked for both local and national firms before commencing his own practice in 1995 before eventually merging to form Calvert Dawson in 2001. He also has specialist knowledge in the academies and pensions sectors.

David Wilson
David qualified as a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 2000 and has over twenty years of experience in the accountancy profession. He joined Calvert Dawson in 2004 and specialises in owner-managed enterprises, dealing with their audit, accounting, corporate tax and company secretarial affairs. Working with a broad client base in a number of different industries, he provides advice and guidance to his expanding portfolio of individuals and businesses.




Barry Dawson
Barry qualified as a chartered accountant with a large Huddersfield firm and was then in partnership before starting his own practice in 1991. He has worked in the Cleckheaton area for many years and has built up an excellent reputation with local businesses and professionals.
Barry now deals mainly with family businesses where he not only ensures compliance with the myriad of regulations but also takes advantage of any opportunities in the running of their tax affairs..



Personal Tax manager

Helen Bentley

Helen has been working for Calvert Dawson Ltd for over 25 years. She provides excellent support for Paul and David and has a wealth of experience in dealing with family run businesses. As tax manager she has responsibility for all personal tax matters and ensures that all clients are aware of their deadlines.



Office manager

Debbie Moran

Debbie has only been with the company a few years but her managerial skills around the office and with clients are widely recognised. She also has experience of working in an office environment and her personality still shows even when projecting a professional image to clients and other contacts.
